Until October 2011 GCT GmbH has coated more than 1.000.000 tools in own diamond coating facilities since the start of the coating production in April 2010.
Main applications are the mechanical processing of IMS, halogen free materials and laminates with fillers. Beside very high dimensional accuracy and process capability significant cost reductions are confirmed from most GCT customers. This happens due to feed rate increase by factor 3-4 and tool life increase up to 12 times.
